A bithday preasent came from not so much someone i love or care about but rather a faceless buracratic institution, the school newspaper. They just came out with the new issue with my article and drawings in it. I wrote about pat robertsons comments about assasinating venezuelan president Hugo Chavez.

I've also gotten a bob dylan book, oil paints, the new al franken book, and my uncle is helping me build my didaly bow. happy happy days.

so keep on rockin in the free world, young friends

"Nancy Spungen Stabbed to Death

Tue Oct 11, 2005, 7:32 PM
Yep, this very night of october 11 in the year 1978, Sid Vicious's girlfriend Nancy Spungen was stabbed to death in the Chelsea Hotel in NY City. Sid's heroin problem had gotten so far out of hand by this point, of course he died a couple of mounths later.

I think i stayed at that hotel when i was in NY.

Ah well Ive got one more day of school and then it's off for fall break for the next 5 days, I'll probably sleep...a lot.
My birthday is coming up in a few weeks
"sweet 16"
yea boy

I drew a picture of the folk musician Woody Guthrie with his guitar with the words "This Machine kills Fascists" written on it. I might try to scan it in within the next couple of days.
Woody was the one who wrote the "This Land is your Land" Song
it's now been fucked up into being a run of the mill patriotic song but when Woody wrote it, it was a protest left wing song.
It originaly had the verses:

"In the squares of the city, In the shadow of a steeple;
By the relief office, I'd seen my people.
As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking,
Is this land made for you and me. "

and

"As I went walking, I saw a sign there;
And on the sign there, It said, 'NO TRESPASSING.'
But on the other side, It didn't say nothing.
That side was made for you and me."

Woody was the best, the very best

The Flying Spaghetti Monster- I believe

Tue Sep 13, 2005, 6:50 PM
Man, I've been meaning to write a journal about this.
The Flying Spaghetti Monster, the best fake religion in the history on the internet
[link] -Wikipedia article on it.
Please, if you haven't heard of him then take a look at the article.
It's the awsomest thing, I am now officaly a "Pastafarians"
I'm gonna try to start a cult at school devoted to the worship of the FSM

If your interested let me know, this cult can cross the boundrys of space and time if we all pull together as a team!

Praise The Flying Spaghetti Monster!
And let us all be touched by his noodly appendage!

Chillin' at the Manatee Bar

Sat Aug 27, 2005, 8:17 PM
Oh man school is well under way, so I have cut my hair and shaved my beared.
Now I got more and more crap to do, ya know how it is.

I walk dogs at the local Humane Society every sunday night with my aunt. About a week ago they asked if we would do an offical T-shirt for the dog walkers, so we agreed (I drew and she disigned it). And after many grueling hours of Drawing dogs and paisting them together in adobe we had our T-shirt. We submited it and it's being considered right now. So if it goes through it could be my very first T-shirt design (of many more in the future, of course)

Twas my uncles birthday today so me, my aunt, and him went out to a music shop to look at a guitar shop (Xanadu for any midtowners). I'd been in before and noticed some badass homemade electric cigar box guitars. Their freakin awsome cause the owner makes and asembles almost everyting like the pickups, It's got two necks and 4 strings (1 bass 3 guitar strings.) And it's all coming out of an ordinary cigar Box. Ya hook it up to two amps one base and one electric. We got my uncle an acoustic one with one string (didaly Bo). Freakin awsome!

This is a great site for kilts

Shangrila or Bust

Sun Aug 14, 2005, 7:17 PM
Woooooot!
yay!
Happy time!

Big Happy fun news! If you can remember about 3 or 4 journal entries ago, I said that I was doing two ads for my Parent's shop "Flashback." One was for the local free paper- The Memphis Flyer, and the other was for a rock 'n' roll calander that a local record store called Shangrila was putting out. Well the Flyer ad has come and gone, but just a few days ago the 2006 calander came out. So I picked up a copy and I do believe it's the most awsome thing i've ever seen in my life. My ad is on the "December" page, It's 1 inch by 10 inches and at the very bottom of the page. It truly is a badass calander. So if you want it here's what to do: If your in Memphis go down to Shangrila and get or if your not in town go to the website [link] and order it online. Even if you don't give about my ad, It's still a really cool calander. And Com'on, you all need 2006 calanders!

It has a really badass picture of Sid Vicious outside the Taliesyn Ballroom, the place that the Sex Pistols played when they came to Memphis in '78. They have since torn it down. It's now a fucking Taco Bell.

The bad news is I have to go back to school soon. So I had to cut my hair and shave my beard to fit the dumbass dresscode.

Remember everyone: Nobody learns better with short hair.
